Obama = NOPE
So much for “change” huh? Or is it this change? Maybe it’s this change? Or is it Obama’s repeated votes to fund the Iraq occupation? Or is it his vote to reauthorize the USA PATRIOT Act? If the Obama supporters like this kind of stuff, then count me out.
I see so many Obama people here in NYC. I just don’t get it. These are the same idiots that supported John “Skull and Bones” Kerry and Al “Carbon Tax” Gore (along with neo-con hawk Joe Lieberman). I think they just want to feel good.
One very interesting tidbit about John Kerry and Joe Liebeman – what do they have in common? In the late 1990s, a group of neo-conservatives (some of the same people influencing policy today – you might recognize some of the names) wrote letters urging then President Clinton to invade Iraq (yes – the push for war in Iraq began as early as 1998).
In this letter to the Council on Foreign Relations (archived by archive.org since the Project for a New American Century has shut down), Paul Wolfowitz and Stephen Solarz remind people that the warmongering towards Iraq is not just a partisan issue. They note that their desire to invade Iraq had Democratic support. Guess which Democrats they cite by name? Joe Lieberman and John Kerry. Wow – what a coincidence. A Democratic VP candidate AND a Democratic Presidential candidate both happened to support George W. Bush’s same war. Democrats and Republicans really are two sides of the same coin (The Project for a New American Century is another Pandora’s Box. This organization wrote a paper in September 2000 pushing for a major weapons build-up, and they said they would have a hard time accomplishing this unless a “new Pearl Harbor” occurred).
If you want change, you must be the agent of change. Crash the parties of the politicos. Become the media, and cover events. Run for local office (like my friend here). As Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
